Yoga

At least once a week we try to have some time set aside to do yoga. The kids love rolling around and trying stretch their bodies. They also get a good laugh at us trying to be flexible! :)

Magic Monkey Bananas

A little while back, We read a book called "No more Cookies". It was about a little girl and her Stuffed monkey friend eating to many cookies and The little girls mother finally tells her "NO MORE COOKIES". So this little girl uses her imagination and does anything and everything to get her mother to give her cookies but nothing works. Finally after a few failed but very creative try's, the girls mother decides they should make "MAGIC MONKEY BANANAS" So after we read the book, We set out to make our own....And boy was it messy!!!
They could not wait to get started but i know they couldn't wait to eat the chocolate!!
Everyone of them rolled their own banana into the chocolate, Some needed just a little Assistance.
They loved watching everyone take a turn and loved adding sprinkles at the end!!
They turned out awesome in the end and the children loved eating them.

Gardening Week!

This week we are talking baout Gardening. It was very interesting to see the children do their own lesson outside today. They pulled up plants (unwanted mint) and discovered the roots! They were lots of conversations going on about the roots of a plant. t is amazing how children's self-discovery leads to amazing new findings.
