Wacky Water Day!

Ant Farm!

The children discovered an Ant Hill in the backyard, so we decided to make an Ant Farm! The children put out suckers for the ants to eat and then we placed it in a jar. The children were very excited to get an up close look at the Ants!

Cinco De Mayo

The Playroom celebrated Cinco De Mayo by having a Mexican taste test. We also listened to Fiestive music and shaking Maracas! After trying the different foods we made a graph of what taste we like and disliked.

Making Lemonade!

The children made Fresh squeezed Lemonade! Piper's lemon got away! :)

Block Area!

One of the favorite areas of the room is the block area! It is a great space for the children to learn how to share with one another. We have some great builders! Kady is ecspecially good at making tall trains!

Zoo Dramatic Play!

The children have been playing in a Dramatic Play area where they can tend to animals. They learned all about animals before their trip to the Zoo. The children used cages for the animals, but one day the children decided use the cages for themselves! It was pretty cute!

The Playroom!

Earth Day!

The children learned about how to take care of the Earth. The learned what items can be recycled and what items can't. The children collected items for a few weeks. Then the children separated them into plastic, glass, paper, and cans. Then the children threw them in the recycling bend.

EASTER 2011!

We love to celebrate Holidays with our Playroom families! Old and new Playroom families gather together. This year we had an Easter craft, snacks, dyed eggs, hunted for Easter eggs, and had two little bunny friends to hold. We loved seeing all the children enjoying themselves!

Ice Cream!

The Children have been learning baout Money. What a great opportunity to learn their new skills by buying their own Ice Cream! It was pretty cute when they weren't so sure what to do. Some forgot to wait for their change and some would give him the money and just walk away! :)

If You Give A Mouse A Cookie

The children read the book 'If You Give A Mouse A Cookie' Some children made a mouse and some children made a cookie. The children listened carefully to the start and guessed what would happen next on each page.

Cloud Art

The children learned about different clouds. We did a wonderful activity where the children listened to music that would remind them of the sky. They looked through books with pictures of clouds and they created art work that looked like clouds. Them room was amazingly quiet and the children worked so hard to create wonderful masterpieces!
